The League for Animal Welfare is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in the Batavia area. Founded in 1949, the League operates the leading no-kill animal shelter and adoption center in the Tri-State area. Its mission is to reduce the number of homeless cats and dogs in Greater Cincinnati by providing a compassionate, no-kill shelter and programs that promote responsible pet care. We are looking for a full-time Customer Service Adoption Specialist to join our team of animal lovers!
Customer service specialists are primarily responsible for helping match our adoptable cats and dogs with prospective adopters, greeting visitors and answering phones. They also socialize animals through enrichment plans, participate in dog play groups, perform canine meet and greets, distribute food and medications, respond to online inquiries and assist in creating social media posts.
Ideal candidates must have proven customer service skills, be friendly, self-motivated and able to handle multiple people, phone lines and tasks at the same time. The schedule is Fri 9:30am-5:30pm, Sat & Sun 9:30am-5:30pm and Mon & Wed 11:30am-7:30pm.
Compensation is $14/hour. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, at least 18 years old, bend, kneel, walk strong dogs, sit for long periods and pass a background and drug test.
