We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our team. RDA experience is a plus! The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as proficiency in handling patient records and scheduling appointments.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly and manage the check-in process efficiently.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling appointments.
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Review documentation for completeness and accuracy before patient visits.
- Assist with dental coding and billing processes related to dental services.
- Collaborate with dental staff to develop care plans for patients.
- Utilize Open Dental or similar dental software for scheduling and record management.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
Experience
- Previous experience in a dental clinic or medical administrative support role is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is essential.
- Strong phone etiquette and communication skills are required to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Proficiency in using dental software systems like Open dental is advantageous but not mandatory.
