Robotics

In this camp counselors will lead campers in learning the skills necessary to create all kinds of robots using Lego Mindstorms and Lego Wedo 2.0. Counselors will teach the coding (similar to Scratch), building, and problem solving skills required to build fun and interesting robot projects.

FLL/FTC

Every year, middle schoolers around the country compete in the First Lego League to build lego robots that complete in an array of challenges. In this camp we allow campers to see the retired gameboards and teach them what it takes to be competitive in the competition. These robots can vary from simple to very complex. Counselors will teach basic programming, sensors, motors, gears, and more

.

Oftentimes these Lego League alum move on to a similar, yet more advanced competition in the First Tech Challenge. This is a more open-ended style of competition. Counselors will help our older/more capable campers assemble a kit robot in FTC style from a set of instructions. This kit robot uses Rev Robotics parts such as aluminum extrusions, 5.5 mm bolts and nuts, angled brackets, motors, servos, etc. You will help them learn to program (block style programming) and drive the robots after assembly.

Engineering Adventures

This camp will challenge campers to think like an engineer! Bridge building, daily engineering challenges, linear motion, earthquake simulators, egg drop, and more, this camp has it all! Counselors will assist students through various projects design that build upon each other throughout the week.
