Responsibilities
- Day to day supervision of the food and beverage operation including directing and coordinating all activities.
- Lead, train, coach and manage the performance of a team of food and beverage associates.
- Ensure efficient operation of department, staffing, training.
- Participates in weekly/monthly inventories.
- Role can be in any of the food and beverage outlets -based on business need, one area may be the primary focus.
- Coordinate and supervise the execution of all restaurant party, banquet, and special event functions.
- Operates all department equipment as necessary and reports malfunction.
- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
- Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish your work.
- Communicates areas that need attention to staff and follows up to ensure understanding.
- Coordinates cleaning program in all F&B areas, identifying trends and making recommendation for improvements.
- Stays readily available/ approachable for all team members.
- Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
- Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in a high-volume upscale restaurant.
- Previous supervisor experience within a restaurant or catering food and beverage environment.
- Knowledge of Food, Wine, and other beverages.
- Strong hospitality skills with an outgoing personality.
- Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- California Food Handler’s certification.
- Effective management, leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift or carry 50 lbs
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
