What are the responsibilities and job description for the Special Education Paraeducators position at Lebanon High School?
Job Overview:
Lebanon High School is looking for a motivated and qualified individuals to perform the duties of a Paraeducator in the high school setting for the 2024-2025 school year and beyond. The job requires the Paraeducator to assist the classroom teacher in meeting the needs of the students to include academic support, behavior management, and other duties as outlined in the LSS Professional Agreement. These individuals should like high school students, be flexible, and be willing to help support students.
The regular work schedule is 7 hours a day, Monday-Friday with a 30-minute duty-free lunch. Paraeducators perform a duty (morning or afternoon) and cover recess for the classroom.
Paraeducator I & II Certification preferred, but not required.
General Job Goals:
- To assist the staff/related service providers in achieving instructional objectives.
- To facilitate the participation of all students in the general curriculum and to develop their abilities to function independently.
- To assist collaborating teacher(s) in facilitating the personal, social, and intellectual growth of student(s).
- Participation in professional learning opportunities.
- Flexibility in working in a variety of school settings and possible travel to alternative locations as necessary.
