What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bus Drivers position at Lebanon School District (SAU 88)?
Job Overview:
The Lebanon School District is looking for part-time Bus Drivers to provide safe transportation for students (and staff, as applicable) for school events and for daily school transportation.
Requirements:
- Must pass a state and federal criminal background check
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience and/or training involving driving mass transportation buses and the ability to understand the basic workings of a bus and how to recognize basic mechanical issues during pre-and post-trip inspections is highly desired.
- Must be able to pass DOT-health exam and hold proper CDL’s with applicable NH Department of Education endorsements.
- Training will be provided to obtain a CDL license if the candidate does not hold a CDL license.
Benefits:
- $10,000 stipend to purchase health/dental insurance independently.
Pay:
- $26.56/hr.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, lift and carry items. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds. The employee must be able to drive district vehicles, including 77-passenger buses (and smaller buses). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
