Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a Tax Compliance Administrator to support one of our Tampa clients with ongoing tax compliance and data management needs following a recent software implementation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail‑oriented, organized, and comfortable handling high‑volume transactional work.
What You'll Do
- Review, validate, and upload sales tax exemption and resale certificates in Avalara
- Confirm certificate completeness, jurisdiction accuracy, and expiration details
- Maintain customer tax profiles and assist with customer/item taxability updates
- Collaborate with Sales, AR, and Finance teams to resolve missing or inaccurate data
- Perform data clean‑up to ensure alignment between Avalara and the ERP system
- Document work performed and flag discrepancies or potential compliance risks
What We're Looking For
- Experience with Avalara
- Background in tax compliance, accounting, or finance operations
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with repetitive or high‑volume tasks
- Confident working with spreadsheets and ERP systems
- Ability to follow established processes and work independently
Preferred Experience
- Sales tax exemption certificate management
- Post‑implementation system cleanup or data maintenance
- Support experience within corporate Tax or Finance teams
