Job Overview
The Lineperson performs diversified electrical construction and maintenance to repairing of electrical lines and equipment. This position requires working in various environments, including construction sites, and involves high voltage systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be comfortable operating heavy machinery.
Duties
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical lines and associated equipment.
- Sets and removed poles, installs cross- arms and pins and removes electrical conductors. Removes transformers and another other maintenance duties on energized or de-energized lines.
- Climb poles or towers to access high voltage lines for maintenance or installation.
- Performs services and meter installations.
- Operate heavy machinery such as line trucks to assist in construction tasks.
- Utilize hand tools for repairs and installations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on construction sites.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Substitutes as Foreman when needed.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential issues.
- Other task as assigned.
Skills
- Proficient in electrical systems and high voltage operations.
- Ability to climb structures safely and efficiently. Must be able to lift 100 lbs, have visual acuity, hearing, and speaking without significant limitations
- Experience working on construction sites with a strong understanding of safety protocols.
- Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
- Skilled in driving and operating line trucks.
- Competent in using hand tools techniques for various tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
