POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for installing audio video and technology products into residential settings. This will include physically delivering, configuring, programming, and un-boxing equipment and devices, installing and terminating wiring and cabling, making final equipment hookups, and testing and verifying functionality. This position will also be responsible for coordinating with retail salespeople to facilitate installation of products. At times, this position will coordinate with other departments such as commercial installs, commercial service, and rentals for cross utilization of other projects, installations and/or services.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation, integration, and testing of residential Audio-Visual systems to include home audio equipment, home theater rooms, and smart home technology into existing construction
Label, terminate and test low-voltage wiring
Test installed systems
Train end users on their functions
Ability to read and follow system wiring diagrams
Familiarity with general power tools and their use
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
Experience testing low-voltage systems
Experience using hand tools
Attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment and/or independently
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Ability to read and follow drawings and installation guides
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Ability to use a computer to correspond by email and complete company documents/programs
Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record to operate company vehicle preferred

Qualifications
MINIUMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent
1 - 2 year(s) of experience in audio visual or related field
1 year of construction experience
1 year of working with low-voltage systems
First Aid CPR Training, or Acquire within 30 days in position
OSHA 10 Certification, or Acquire within 30 days in position
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to frequently move audio/visual equipment overhead weighing up to 50lbs
Ability to work at heights, including ascending/descending a ladder and elevated work platforms to install equipment
Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
Ability to constantly position self to install equipment, pull cable to include working in confined space
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Customers private residences and occasionally some covered outdoor work. At times, Commercial Buildings, Schools, University Buildings, State, Local and Federal Government Properties, including non-conditioned indoor and outdoor environments.
TRAVEL/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK:
Hours of work will vary depending on client needs but will typically include M-F. No overnight travel is required for this position.
Salary : $19 - $23
