Position Summary
We are seeking a Fabrication Assistant who will play an integral role in supporting the fabrication and manufacturing processes within a workshop or industrial setting. You will work closely with experienced fabricators and technicians to assist with various tasks, contributing to the efficient production of fabricated components or products. Your role is vital in ensuring quality, safety, and productivity in the fabrication process.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and understand product schematics and assembly instructions.
- Taking part in product development meetings.
- Assist with verifying dimensions and product specifications.
- Assist in ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned, and screwed in.
- Testing products for their functionality
- Reporting and detailing product malfunctions.
- Adhering to assembly safety standards.

Other responsibilities include:
- Assist Fabricator as needed.
- Organize, count and stock inventory for parts and materials.
- Wrap, pack, and prepare materials for shipping.
- Working closely with shipping and receiving to ensure all products are adequate for sale or session.
- Assist with the preparation of components and assemblies of an upcoming project.
- Help with the general maintenance and upkeep of the workshop area.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and an interest in fabrication and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working in various positions.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and other workshop personnel.
- Commitment to following safety procedures and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Meticulous attention to detail to follow instructions accurately and maintain product quality.
- Basic problem-solving skills to address minor issues or adjustments in the fabrication process.
