Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and implement solutions.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as filter replacements, system calibrations, and preventative inspections to ensure system longevity and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools like ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other diagnostic devices.
- Conduct plumbing work related to HVAC systems, including pipe repairs and ammonia refrigeration setups when necessary.
- Maintain detailed service records, logs of repairs performed, parts used, and system performance reports.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local building codes during all installation and repair activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HVAC technician or service technician with a strong background in construction or property maintenance.
- Mechanical knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration) systems including refrigeration cycles and ammonia refrigeration processes.
- Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design documents accurately.
- Hands-on experience with appliance repair, equipment repair, welding techniques, boiler operation, and general mechanical troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with plumbing systems related to HVAC setups is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of field service procedures including diagnosing issues on-site efficiently while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for electrical troubleshooting.
