At CESO, a Survey Field Technician assists with a wide range of residential, commercial, retail, and public projects both locally and regionally.
\n- Assist in the collection of survey data
- Trains on and operates survey equipment such as total stations, GPS equipment, data collectors, automatic levels, and scanners.
- Acquire knowledge in field note taking
- Assist in the completion of field surveys
- Assists with various types of construction surveys
- Assists with boundary and topographic surveys.
- Learn to read maps and plans in support of survey tasks.
- Assist crew chief in other duties as needed
- Local and regional travel as needed
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- Valid Driver’s License required.
- Employee is regularly required to: stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and occasionally crawl, climb or balance.
- Employee will regularly use hands and arms to reach, handle or feel. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Employee may be exposed to varying work environments including extreme heat or cold and adverse weather conditions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Employee could be exposed to loud conditions while working on a field site.
