Responsibilities
- Prepare, comply and assist customers with opening/closing all types of accounts including personal accounts, IRAs, CDs, HSAs and business accounts.
- Assists customers with wire transfer requests, ordering checks, debit cards, customer information updates, stop payments, account ownership changes, endorsement questions, safe deposit boxes, possible fraud/forgery situations and various other maintenance items.
- Develop a good understanding of the bank products/services and the customer’s current relationship. Offer information on bank products and services that can benefit the customer and enhance their banking relationship. Evaluate needs of the potential and current customers and offers appropriate guidance on financial products and services.
- Responsible for ensuring all new account compliance documents are obtained while opening a new relationship and/or a new account. Including but not limited to CIP, CDD, OFAC, Beneficial Ownership and any other items needed to meet regulatory requirements.
- Process financial transactions for checking, savings and borrowing customers: receives funds, posts transactions and pays out funds as requested. Verbally confirm intended transactions with customer to assure needs are met and minimize errors.
- Balance cash drawer daily to assure accuracy in transactions. Appropriately applying policies.
- Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and internal inquiries regarding policies, practices and products.
- Assist other departments and branches with transactions as needed, provide support for the department and branch managers in fulfilling customer requests and merchant verifications.
