As an imaging support specialist, you will be working alongside imaging technologist and nursing staff. A number of job duties performed by this particular position involve direct patient care / interaction, including: transporting patients throughout the facility (including to our imaging department). This position performs physical job duties that involve lifting, pushing and pulling limited weight. The position prioritizes tasks well and frequently shifts between discrepant job duties while maintaining excellent patient care.

Responsibilities
This individual performs a variety of clerical, computer information systems and support functions and processes the associated data. Responsibilities include work as assigned in several of the following areas: Outpatient admit, order entry, exam scheduling, importing and exporting images into PACS, document scanning, film file room functions, phone/fax results and providing customer service, and general clerical duties. May also include patient transportation, technical assistance and other patient related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
One year of experience in radiology and/or related medical field preferred.
Skills:
Communication, customer service and reception skills. Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions. Filing skills. Medical terminology preferred. CPR required for those assigned patient care duties.
