The successful candidate must be enthusiastic, energetic, have a friendly, outgoing personality and possess a genuine passion for working with the elderly. You must also enjoy cooking and be able to prepare great tasting food that will bring smiles to the residents and families that we serve.
Requirements:
- Willingness to work with the elderly
- Ability to read, write and follow instructions in order to follow standardized recipes and other written instructions
- One year experience as a cook, performing preparation of a full line of menu items including therapeutic diets
- Possess a current Food Handler's Permit
- Handle food in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards
- Ability to physically handle weights up to and including 30 pounds
- Comply with all government regulatory procedures regarding food production
Qualifications:
Experience in Assisted Living or Skilled Nursing a plus.
Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
Must be able to maintain good peer relations and resident's morale.
Displays high standards of honesty and forthrightness in all relationships; safeguards the reputation of the company.
