A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MEDICATION AIDE - MED TECH
As our full or part-time Medication Aide - Med Tech, you play a critical role in ensuring the well-being of our assisted living senior residents. Beyond your expertise in medication administration, you also provide essential skin care and treatment for minor skin problems. Your ability to change simple dressings for non-infected chronic or postoperative conditions shows your commitment to helping residents heal and maintain their health.
Occasionally, the licensed nurse on duty may assign other tasks to you, and we appreciate your willingness to go above and beyond to help out wherever needed. Your contributions to our healthcare team are invaluable, and we recognize the impact you have on the lives of our assisted living residents!
WHAT IS REQUIRED TO BE A MEDICATION AIDE - MED TECH?
- A current caregiver certification
- Ability to complete our designated training program as prescribed by the Wellness Director or the designated LPN or supervisor
- Ability to effectively communicate with residents, families, supervisors, and employees
- Physical ability to assist in transferring residents and lifting people
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and stand/walk for long periods of time
- A heart for serving seniors
