What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Attorney: Housing and Consumer position at Legal Aid of Western Missouri?
Legal Aid of Western Missouri seeks a full-time staff attorney for its St. Joseph, Missouri, office to assist with housing and consumer cases. The attorney in this position will represent clients in administrative, judicial, and legistlative forums, as needed. This attorney will represent clients in Buchanan County and seventeen other outlying rural counties in Northwest Missouri.
The qualified candidate must have the following:
- Active Missouri bar license.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Desire and committment to assist in the delivery of high-quality legal assistance to low-income clients.
- Ability to speak a second language, preferred, but not required.
- Courtroom experience, preferred.
Pay: $65,000 DOE
