This Position is for an Equipment Operator (Large) - Mining Division with a work location in Southaven, MS.Large Equipment Operator SummaryThis position operates one or more types of construction equipment such as water trucks, front-end loaders, rollers, dozers, and skid steers as they apply to surface mining operations. Operators are responsible for safe operation, non-mechanical maintenance and up-keep of equipment.â?¯Equipment Operator ResponsibilitiesDiscusses plans and goals for the day's work with crew foreman and determines best method of getting assigned work done safely, productively and on time.â?¯Performs physical duties that are commonly associated with the safe and productive operation of said piece of equipment.â?¯Performs equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and maintaining fluid levels on equipment.â?¯Operates equipment with priority of making the job safe for all persons working around the equipment.â?¯Communicates clearly with other crew members in a manner commensurate with teamwork in order to accomplish daily goals.â?¯Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.Assist other crew members with various duties such as line maintenance, ticket writing, etc.Dig, spread and level construction materials.Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.Assist in the placement, moving and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones and other safety devices.Equipment Operator RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of age.Capable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds approximately 20 feet and working up to heights of 100 feet.Two years' experience operating dozer, front loader, or similar.Work Conditions / Physical RequirementsCapable of lifting and carrying up to 75 pounds approximately 20 feet and working up to heights of 100 feet.Flexible schedule required.
