Leidos is seeking an Environmental Field Technician at Pueblo Chemical Depot, CO to support environmental projects at the facility. The successful candidate will support environmental investigations and remediation projects. The candidate will work with Leidos Project Managers, Task Managers, and Senior Staff.

Your Main Objectives
- Perform project tasks outlined in project work plans (e.g., Sampling and Analysis Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, Health and Safety Plans) as assigned by Project Managers.
- Perform in-situ remediation injections as required at Pueblo Chemical Depot’s Southwest and South Central Terraces.
- Collecting field data and environmental samples (soil, sediment, surface water, groundwater); prepare field logs and records; sample packaging/shipping and chain of custody; and procurement of materials and supplies for field efforts.
- Support installation and sampling of groundwater monitoring wells.
- Perform work in accordance with Leidos and client Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety programs. This includes ensuring field teams under your supervision are also performing work in accordance with Leidos and client Environmental Compliance and Health & Safety programs.
- Maintain access to injection and monitoring well locations.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
- Familiarity with contamination and treatment systems in place at Pueblo Chemical Depot’s Southwest and South-Central Terraces.
- OSHA 1910.120 hazardous waste worker certification (40-hour HAZWOPER) and current OSHA 8-hour refresher.
- Ability to work long days in outdoor environments, and work safely and follow safety precautions in extreme environments (temperature, humidity, noise, confined spaces, etc.) around dangerous industrial equipment.
- Must be able to lift/carry 40 lbs.
- Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, turning, and working in unusual positions requiring full body mobility.
