A Paralegal with Lemonjuice assists attorney(s) by providing clerical and research support services including document preparation and review; research, investigations, and fact-checking. This position reports to the General Counsel attorney(s)with a primary focus on supporting the day-to-day operations of the various resorts and internal business teams associated with owner services, operations, association governance, finance, and accounting. This position involves extensive document review and analysis, legal research, preparation of a variety of different types of agreements, memoranda, summaries, and matrices, handling of a variety of licensing matters, daily contact, and interaction with business clients, both at corporate offices and in the field.

Required Skills Knowledge and Abilities

  • Engage in due diligence associated with acquisitions, rebrands, dispositions, turnover, or as may otherwise be required.
  • Tracking, drafting, and filing corporate documents and annual reports
  • Assist in the preparation of license agreements, easements, leases, and other operations related agreements
  • Creating new companies of record and assisting in the drafting of organizational governing documents
  • Investigating facts and developing legal arguments
  • Drafting legal documents such as leases, declarations, deeds, and complementary instruments
  • Preparing and filing documents with courts
  • Organizing and archiving documents
  • Reviewing legal documents and making recommendations and edits
  • Support numerous operational aspects of new project developments, including licensing, preparation of documents, and research.
  • Reviewing recorded instruments – identifying key points and making recommendations on legal strategy
  • Conduct legal research in condominium, timeshare and other project documents, statutory law and other sources as required for support of multiple properties in a variety of jurisdictions
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends
  • Ability to respond to and resolve inquiries and questions.
  • Hard-working and diligent in the ability to analyze and complete tasks
  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to compose correspondence using correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Meeting and event management skills including notifications, and drafting of minutes, Board resolutions, and related documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Skilled in utilizing resources to find information and conduct research

  • Moves over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Reads and visually verifies information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print).
  • Stands sits, or walks for an extended period or for an entire work shift

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent qualifying work experience with an excellent performance record.
  • Certificate from an ABA-approved paralegal program or qualifying legal experience.
  • Two to three years of experience in a professional office environment
