About the Role:
Lenawee Christian School is seeking a dedicated and passionate elementary teacher to join our academic team. The teacher will play a crucial role in nurturing the academic, social and spiritual development of our students. As a key member of our faculty, the successful candidate will inspire students to grow in their faith, understanding of biblical principles, and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Teaching:
Uphold and model Christian values in all interactions with students, staff, and parents.
Create a positive and supportive atmosphere where each child feels valued and respected.
Provide engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons in subjects such as language arts, math, science, and social studies.
Plan and implement small group instruction to meet individual student goals.
Foster a love for learning through hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive projects.
Develop and implement effective lesson plans, incorporating diverse teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles.
Provide constructive feedback to students and collaborate with parents on student progress.
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experience.
Abide by standards of conduct and behavior as outlined in the employee handbook.
Use communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey biblical concepts and teachings.

Qualifications:
Christian Faith:
Profess and demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
Adherence to Christian principles and values in both personal and professional life.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education
Valid teaching certification; Michigan certification preferred.
