What are the responsibilities and job description for the Land Planner position at Lennon Smith Souleret Engineering?
Lennon, Smith, Souleret Engineering, Inc. (LSSE) (Established 1985), a dynamic and growing 120 person civil engineering firm serving over 85 regional municipal clients, water and sewer authorities, private development, industry, and utilities is accepting applications from motivated Land Planners for our Coraopolis, Allegheny County, PA office.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in land planning or related field and 3-5 years’ experience in land development entitlement and/or land use entitlement process, including:
- Review potential sites and draft concept plans
- Review and develop plans that meet codes and regulations
- Interpret Surveys (topo, wetland)
- Meet and coordinate with government staff
- Develop preliminary plans
- Submit plans for approvals at Planning Commissions and City Council, utilities and other authorities.
- Attending public meetings
Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize workload, demonstrate success working with a team of professionals, have a commitment to quality, good communication skills, and a positive work ethic.
