We are actively hiring a Travel Only Arabic Linguist to join our team. You will be responsible for supporting a government agency and your office with translation, transcription, and/or interpretation services.
Responsibilities
- Linguists will primarily translate and transcribe foreign-language text and audio into English.
- Linguists will type in foreign language, in real time, via social media, text message, email, and other fora.
- Travel to worldwide locations, including austere and hazard zone locations for up to 3 months at a time.
- Must possess or be eligible for an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree required. Preference for master's degree in relevant field, and/or, significant, professional, translation experience
- Interpretation between source and target language
- Translation into both English and target language
- Transcription into English
- Collection from published, online and broadcast media
- Monitoring published, online and broadcast media while identifying relevant content
- Summarizing/Gisting while drawing upon linguistic or cultural expertise
- Translation Related Services (TRS)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Blogging while drawing upon linguistic/cultural expertise
- Subject Matter Expertise in areas of Counterterrorism, Cyber and Sponsor Operations
- At least7 years of translation experience within a professional setting
- Demonstrated experience with ILR 4-level language testing/ ILR 4-level translation experience
