POSITION: Events and Operations Rotational Intern

DEPARTMENT: Events

REPORTS TO: Director of Events

FLSA STATUS: Hourly, Non-Exempt

We are looking for an Events and Operations Rotational Intern to be a part of our Events Department. You will work closely with our Events team to ensure we are providing excellent customer services and helping maintain a high level of excellence when putting on different types of events.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring proactive planning, communication, and execution of a wide variety of events including shows and meetings.
• Assist in drafting event resumes and banquet event orders.
• Assist the Director of Events in day-to-day administrative tasks.
• Work with vendors on event logistics to meet planning deadlines.
• Assist with exhibitor requests and orders.
• Draft basic floor plans for events.
• Shadow security department to learn protocols.
• Assist operations department with event sets.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Desired Qualifications And Skills

• Working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical skills: ability to organize large amounts of information.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; flexible
