What are the responsibilities and job description for the Student Success Coordinator position at Leona Group Schools?
Essential Duties:
Provide thorough individualized attention to better meet the complex nature that comprises students' academic achievement
Provide mentoring and life skills to students in group and one-on-one setting
Monitor student attendance and academic progress daily
Contact students who are struggling in school with attendance, grades and credits
Create plans that meet the students individual needs to get them back on track academically
Work jointly with students struggling academically, their parents/guardian, and teachers to ensure success
Maintain accurate, complete, and factual records on graduating students
Celebrate student academic accomplishments
Completed home visits and other intervention for students, as needed
Planning and scheduling students for the upcoming school year or quarter
Planning and facilitating ECAP completion with all students
Supporting and mentoring students as they complete the FAFSA, apply for colleges and technical training programs, and prepare to take required exams for post secondary success
Creating presentations and field trips focused on colleges and career opportunities
Requirements
Evidence of successful experience in student and parent relations.
Ability to identify and ensure appropriate academic interventions are implemented
Demonstrated commitment to young people's learning success and achievement
Demonstrated proficiency at providing small group and individual mentoring
Bachelors Degree
Possession of - or able to attain - a valid IVP Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
