Multi-state law firm with offices in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, and Vermont is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team.
Our firm represents mortgage servicers, banks, and card issuers in all courts, both state and federal. We specialize in commercial and residential mortgage foreclosure, debt collection and post-judgment recovery, bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, evictions, loss mitigation, mediations, contested litigation, real estate, and financial services litigation. Currently we are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our team in our Connecticut office. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with ample opportunities for growth and advancement.

Responsibilities:
- Interpreting laws, legislation or regulations, analyzing data, legal questions and existing evidence or facts
- Case management
- Conduct Legal Research
- Draft various motions and written responses, including complaints, motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss complaints, and orders to show cause
- Conduct settlement negotiations
- Conduct simple trials
- Creditor representation in Bankruptcy Court
Education & Experience:
- CT Bar Admission
- Minimum 1 year of experience in CT civil practice
- Minimum 1 year of Bankruptcy experience
- Knowledge of CT motion practice
- Ability to manage workloads and projects
- Must be proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook and Excel
- Professional written and communication skills
- Strong word processing and proofreading skills
- Ability to work meticulously to ensure the quality of your product
- Must have excellent phone manner and written and oral communication skills
- Work well under pressure
