What you will be doing:
- In this role as a field application engineer, you will be the liaison between the customer of the Client and the Client vendor
- Support software hardware in the loop (HIL) testing of Client at customer site
- Guide customer on software testing and analysis of test results of Client at customer test site
- Assist to determine if issue is a customer set-up issue or a Client software bug
- Handling in a more structured process, software versions and creating a feedback loop to the vendor
- Create and review reports with vendor software engineering
- Review potential solutions with vendor software engineering
- Generating needed documentation to assist with explanation of test results
- Drive best validation practices
- Work with customer at test benches guiding troubleshooting
- Working with high voltage AC and high voltage DC
- Potential 1 week per quarter travel to Munich, Germany
Essential:
- College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or other relevant technical disciplines.
- Need a software engineer who is very structured in their software troubleshooting approach in order to help guide the customer
- C coding experience
- Vector CANoe and Vector CANalyzer hands-on experience
- Client experience
- Personality that is collaborative yet will challenge what is received from the customer by reading C code and summarize what the findings are
- Open-minded, team focused, have an innovative spirit, self-motivated
- 2 plus years of experience
- Humble, teachable, and solve their own problems
- Effective and collaborative team player
- Good communicator - written and verbal
- MS office suit solid knowledge is required.
- Great collaborator
- Sole representative of vendor at customer site - must be proactive, calm, and structured
- AUTOSAR experience
- Vector AUTOSAR experience
- BUS bar experience
- Software test experience
- Electronic Control Unit knowledge
- System and Validation engineering experience with strong technical background.
- Proven experience with problem solving, definition and execution of validation tests.
