Lewis Bakeries is searching for an Accounts Receivables Clerk, responsible for overseeing incoming payments, properly tracking them into the system to maintain accurate bookkeeping records.

Lewis Bakeries is a family owned and operated company that was started by three brothers in 1925 in Anna, Illinois. Lewis primarily bakes loaf bread, buns and rolls under branded products such as Bunny Bread, Lewis Bake Shop, Healthy Life, as well as other brands. Bakery facilities are located in LaPorte, Ft. Wayne, Vincennes, and Evansville, Indiana, and Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Our heritage has been one of quality and reliability since 1925. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintaining bookkeeping databases and spreadsheets and updating information as needed
- Collecting payments from customers and accurately recording them in the system
- Generate necessary reports and present accurately
- Review invoice/payment discrepancies
- Mail statements and billing to customers
- Communicate with internal and external clients
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma required.
2. 1 year of accounting, banking, or office administration experience preferred.
3. Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
4. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and able to learn other accounting software systems
5. Great communication skills, written and spoken form.
6. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
7. Highly responsible, team-oriented individual with very strong work ethic; self-starter.
8. Ability to work Monday to Friday 7AM – 4PM
