JOB PURPOSE :

The EdTech Student Developer will work on assigned projects, gaining hands-on experience with a range of educational technologies that support teaching and learning at Lewis & Clark. These may classroom technology, learning management systems, classroom lecture capture systems, digital course content development, audience / student response systems, video conferencing, video production, 3D printing, Virtual Reality, and other emerging educational technologies. The EdTech Student Developer will contribute to developing apps, websites, learning experiences, videos, and other educational content.

PREREQUISITES FOR ELIGIBILITY :

In order to apply for this position, you must have been invited by an Educational Technologist.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Develop Lewis & Clark specific educational technology projects under guidance of educational technologists
  • Work closely with educational technology subject matter experts and support them in their service to the community
  • Gain exposure to the principles and processes of instructional materials design with hands-on experience creating final projects
  • Fulfill other duties as assigned.
  • RESPONSIBILITY TOWARDS DIVERSITY :

  • SCHEDULE :

  • Varies depending on schedule and project
  • Attend 30 minute planning meetings weekly
  • On occasion, may be asked to work evenings and / or weekends depending on project and event schedules
  • RATE OF PAY :
  • 15.95 / hr
  • WORK STUDY REQUIREMENT :

  • Federal or L&C Work Study preferred, but not required.
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS :

  • A quick learner with a strong aptitude for understanding new technologies
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • PREFERENCES :

  • A reliable, flexible person who is a quick learner with a natural curiosity and genuine interest in emerging technologies and how they can be used in educational settings.
  • Experience building and troubleshooting computers, VR headset setup and maintenance, web development coding skills, and AI image creation tools and techniques a plus.

    Eligibility to Work

    In order to comply with US Homeland Security Department regulations, all employees must complete an I-9 form in Workday prior to or no later than the first day of work and bring originals (no photocopies) of their supporting documentation to Human Resources no later than the 3rd business day of employment. Failure to have a completed I-9 form on file with the College will result in immediate termination of employment.
