Habitat for Humanity Restore in Collinsville is accepting applications for a Donations Ambassador. ReStore is a unique retail environment that sells donated (new and used) furniture, appliances, building materials, and home improvement merchandise at greatly reduced prices, helping our community while raising funds for Habitat for Humanity.

Donations Ambassador Job Description

· Works in the Donation Center assisting with loading and unloading of donated furniture, appliances, and building materials, answering questions and assisting shoppers on the sales floor, and organizing merchandise for safety and best display.

· Participates in picking-up furniture and other donations from residential and business donors, requires lifting and loading items and great customer service. Occasionlly driving the truck.

· Represents Habitat for Humanity while at the ReStore to ensure donors have a positive experience.

· Assist in cleaning, organizing and stocking the sales floor.

Skills and Qualifications

· Dependable, proactive, safe, empathetic

· Enthusiastic about Habitat for Humanity's vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live

· Ability to work in a fast-paced and cooperative team environment

· Ability to handle donor and customer conversations with empathy and professionalism

· Ability to lift 25-75 lbs safely and work standing or moving for a full day

· Ability to perform some duties with limited exposure to outside weather conditions, such as loading and unloading merchandise into customer vehicles

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Valid Illinois Driver’s License and a good driving record (inquire on specifics required)

Pay

$15 per hour 35-40 hours per week

Rotating Monday's once a month

Tuesdays: 9:00-2:00

Wednesdays - Fridays: 10:00 am - 6:15 pm

Saturdays: 9:00 am-4:30 pm

Application Requirements

· Phone Screen and Reliability assessments required for application review

· All job offers will be conditional upon successful completion of a background check, drug screen, and functional capacity evaluation that ensures a candidate's capacity to perform job related duties such as safely lifting items

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
