Job Summary And Qualifications
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.

Information about our Inpatient Physical Rehab Unit:
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with family, Occupational therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Language Pathology, Case Management, and Physicians
- 35-Bed Inpatient Physical Rehab Unit
- Nurse to patient ratios based on acuity
- Gain experience with Neurological Diagnosis such as Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease, Spinal Disorders, and others
- Conducts Daily Interdisciplinary Rounds
- LGMC Shared Governance councils
- Supportive environment focused on fostering educational opportunities and specialty certification (i.e. Certified Rehab Registered Nurse)

Job Summary And Qualifications
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services. In collaboration with the RN and other members of the care team, the LPN provides individualized, comprehensive care consistent with the scope and standards of the specialty.
What you will do in this role:
- Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.
- Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.
- Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Serve as a resource to department staff, students and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.
- Licensed Practical Nurse License issued by the Department of Health Professions, Commonwealth of Virginia or Licensed Practical Nurse with “multi-state privilege" granted to them by virtue of holding a license in one of the states participating in the Nurse Licensure Compact Agreement and who has not established permanent residency in Virginia.
- Graduate of an accredited LPN program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of beginning employment
- 2 years of LPN experience preferred
