Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Analyst supports operations and will gather, analyze, and compile data needed to identify trends and patterns, then make recommendations to management for business actions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Create business intelligence tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs. Construct data sets, monitor data quality, troubleshoot, and resolve database issues to ensure data integrity.
- Utilize scripting and querying tools, including Power BI, to produce reports, data files, and dashboards summarizing operational and financial data for review by executives, managers, clients, or other stakeholders.
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
- Manage timely flow of business intelligence information to users.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Economics, Accounting, Finance, or Computer and Information Science and/or two years of related experience. Proven work experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst or related role. Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools including a strong knowledge of Power BI. Strong business analysis skills, attention to detail, and ability to think systematically and work independently.
