Lexington Children's Museum seeks a Museum Experience Specialist to join a dynamic team that sparks curiosity in young minds. We are seeking an enthusiastic and creative person with strong organizational and communication skills; quick-thinking; self-motivated; a desire to work with a team of staff and volunteers; and exceptional abilities to work with the public.
Job Responsibilities:
• Engage with guests visiting the museum, including but not limited to facilitating exhibits, facilitating educational programs, facilitating birthday parties and birthday party activities, following Museum procedures and expectations.
• Provide a fun, safe, and efficient experience for Birthday Parties. Including, but not limited to, prepping activities, prepping rooms, checking trash, dispersing party favor passes, etc.
• Maintain a clean, safe, welcoming museum environment.
• Participate in off-site educational or promotional opportunities, as assigned.
• Provide excellent guest service throughout the museum.
• Open and close exhibits properly, ensuring exhibits are in proper condition for safety and function.
• Perform routine exhibit up-keep and janitorial duties, ensuring cleanliness of exhibits and galleries.
• Maintain inventory of exhibit and birthday party supplies.
• Assist in training new employees, as assigned.
• Support Guest Experience staff and the front desk, as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
•Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and evening shifts.
•Should have reliable transportation.

Pay: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour
