Job Description
A core member of the commercial corporate accounts team, within the D&G business unit at LGC. Manage and complete important sales initiatives for LGC Group's biggest strategic partner, supporting customer sites in the US and Europe. Working in cross-functional teams with all internal departments and externally to continue to develop and grow our global partnership. Identify new forward-looking business development and sales strategies and tactics for the relevant D&G product, technology and informatics offering, aligned with our annual business goals, to help drive sustainable future business growth.
Seeking a candidate with experience in corporate account and strategic partnership, specifically in selling to Tier 1 In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) manufacturers. Familiarity with critical tools like Oligonucleotides (Oligos), antigens, antibodies, and Quality Controls (QC) is preferred. The role requires a solid understanding of the Molecular Diagnostics (MDx) and / or Biochemistry & Immunoassay markets, together with the associated scientific techniques (e.g. PCR & qPCR) and applications, strong organisational skills and project management skills, client communications, client management and service, product expertise, and critical thinking.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages and achieves sales targets for LGC Groups largest strategic partner, by leading a strategic sales process, accountable for revenue, margin and unit goals.
- This role will require networking at various levels within targeted client organizations from C-level executives (including R&D, Commercial and Procurement) to laboratory scientists.
- You will be key in defining overall strategy with our No.1 strategic partner, developing a road map to capture key new products, opportunities, presenting proposals and managing senior level negotiations and contract agreements.
- Driving business reviews with our strategic customer, communicating current business performance, growth areas and key projects, enabling future partnership growth.
- The corporate account manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of a sales process that involves collaboration with cross functional teams and requires effective project management.
- Responsible for commercial agreements, ensuring approvals in line with company policy, licensing and legal requirements.
- Manage and communicate customer forecasts and production priorities.
- Primary sales contact for our corporate account, owning key commercial communications.
- Coordinate product delivery requirements between the customer and production.
- Support the sales organization during the sales process as the primary technical resource.
- Contribute to the planning and development of new products and the pipeline.
- Drive international brand awareness including but not limited to global roadshows and tradeshows.
