Job Description

The Distribution Associate II provides support for shipping, receiving and inventory activities.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential functions satisfactorily. 

What you’ll do

• Work with distribution management on execution of scheduling assignments
• Package products following SOP’s and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Under minimal supervision, receive, inspect, and ship all materials following SOP’s and written instructions that meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements
• Lead accurate printing and application of labels, manually and with automated equipment
• Print batch history records from quality management software and assign lot numbers in Microsoft Access database
• Process receipt of product in ERP
• Handle specialized receipt and shipment of product as required
• Responsible for compliance with all federal and state laws, which apply to all employees, products, and facilities
• Physically and systematically perform timely inventory transactions to ensure inventory accuracy
• Participate in physical inventory activities, such as routine cycle counts, to maintain inventory integrity
• Diligently learn and follow the requirements of the ISO 13485 quality management system
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree (GED)
• Proven experience in a warehousing (or related) role, ideally 4 years, within a manufacturing or life sciences organization (pharma, biotech, or medical device)
• Demonstrated experience managing processes in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution operation
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Use of a web browser
• Experience working with information technology, including database software, FedEx and UPS shipping systems, and ERP systems (ideally IFS)

Physical requirements include:

• Ability to manually lift up to 25 lbs.
• Ability to sit or stand 6-8 hours per day
• Ability to reliably and accurately repeat manual manipulations such as packaging and labeling in high volumes
• Manual dexterity
