What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Chemist I position at LGM Pharma?
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Utilize analytical laboratory instrumentation without supervision.
- Peer review data generated by other technicians.
- Perform equipment calibrations and qualification.
- Support R&D team by completing ruggedness testing for validations and cleaning validation recoveries.
- Effectively train and assist Chemist Level 1 to learn their role.
- Other related duties as required.
REQUIRED SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related discipline.
- 2 years experience in a chemistry laboratory; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2 years experience with analytical instrumentation, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-VIS, and dissolution apparatus.
- Adherence to follow standard operating procedures (cGMP’s, SOP’s, and DOP’s).
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal; attention to detail.
- Able to organize, prioritize and perform concurrent tasks with minimal supervision.
- Able to assist and guide others to better perform their job.
- Proficient in MS Office suite of programs (Excel, Office, Outlook, Power-point, etc).
- Contributes to a positive team environment.
- Able to lift and move up to 20 pounds occasionally throughout the day.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.80 - $24.91 per hour
