Seeking a Registered Dietitian for the Mental Health/ Eating Disorder Dual Diagnosis PHP/IOP Program in Campbell/San Jose area.
The MH-ED PHP/IOP program at LGTC Group is a comprehensive and integrated treatment program designed to address the complex challenges of individuals suffering from co-occurring mental health disorders as well as eating disorders. With a multidisciplinary approach and a strong focus on individualized care, this track offers a range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
You will provide comprehensive nutritional assessments, develop personalized meal plans, and offer ongoing nutritional counseling and support to clients. Your expertise and guidance will contribute to the overall health and well-being of our patients as they navigate their journey towards healing and improved relationship with food.
General Responsibilities
- Responsible for the clinical monitoring, coordinating, and implementing of the dietary program in accordance with state and JCAHO Standards Serves as the dietary liaison between clinical unit and facility staff.
- Complete nutritional assessment for clients on day of admission into eating disorder track.
- Establishes treatment plans and communicates with clients regarding program compliance.
- Lead meal support group in conjunction with therapist Monday-Friday from 12-1pm to assist with meal checks and meal compliance.
- Lead nutrition group once per week to provide psychoeducation as well as help clients identify, prioritize and resolve their eating habits and nutritional problems.
- Provide weekly individual nutrition counseling to clients and document weekly progress notes as required by policy.
- Maintain current written records in compliance with Joint Commission requirements including documentation of all nutritional treatment, assessment of client’s progress toward meeting the objective established in the treatment plan, all supportive or ancillary services received by client and clinical discharge summaries.
- Attend and participate in weekly rounds meeting pertaining to eating disorder track and collaborate with clinical staff to identify and connect with patients in need of nutrition counseling.
Qualifications:
- Registered Dietician (must provide state license)
- Meet DOH/state/federal and company standards
- Minimum of one year experience working in the mental health and/or eating disorder field.
- Familiarity with state survey process and compliance to nutrition care regulations
- Flexibility in work hours and work arrangements, you may be asked to perform the same task for an extended period of time or to perform different tasks on the same day.
