Benefits Day-1 Medical & Dental Benefits Vacation Holidays 4% match on 401(k) savings plan plus an additional contribution starting at 4% Visit https://www.lhoist.com/us_en/application-process OR Call Karen at 254-978-9039 RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS: Safety and Compliance Ensures that the company fleet operates within all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company guidelines Load Planning and Scheduling Performs dispatching activities, including daily load planning and scheduling for the private fleet and third party carriers Works with the Distribution Manager regarding driver availability, drivers’ hours of service, and equipment availability Data entry for customer order creation and intracompany orders Works with the supply chain & logistics manager on sourcing and product distribution Customer Service • Interacts with internal and external customers and third party carriers • Proactively settles issues before they impact the customer by using logical and creative problem solving • Confirms orders for the following day by calling and/or emailing customers • Involved in total quality process and continuous improvement of customer confidence by knowing the customer’s demands for sizing, quality, and quantity in relationship to inventory ATTRIBUTES: Working knowledge of DOT regulations, OSHA requirements, and fleet equipment Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Current computer skills in Microsoft applications, SAP, and search engine online programs. Excellent problem solving skills. Behavioral competencies include: tolerance for stress, practical learning, adaptability, multi-tasking, teamwork, planning, and organizing. Extremely dependable; the time sensitive nature of this position requires excellent attendance and complete customer focus Ability to work Monday – Friday from 11am – 7pm Able to be on call after hours (occasional evenings and 1 -2 weekends per Required Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
