Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Paraprofessional to join our team. As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will work closely with students who have special needs, providing support and assistance in the classroom. Responsibilities: - Collaborate with teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students - Assist students with daily tasks, including personal care and hygiene, as needed - Support students in developing social skills and promoting positive behavior - Provide one-on-one or small group instruction to reinforce learning concepts - Assist in the implementation of classroom activities and lessons - Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students - Monitor student progress and document observations for teacher review - Collaborate with other professionals, such as speech therapists or occupational therapists, to support student development Skills: - Experience working with students with special needs, including autism, deaf education, or other learning disabilities - Knowledge of childhood development and literacy education strategies - Ability to assist in curriculum development and lesson planning - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, teachers, and parents/guardians - Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations - Flexibility to adapt to the individual needs of each student We offer competitive pay rates and opportunities for professional growth within our organization.
