What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Parts Driver position at Liberty Ford Lincoln Mercury Inc?
- Deliver and pick up parts as requested by the Parts Manager.
- Load the truck in such a way as to eliminate damage to fragile parts.
- Organize a schedule of deliveries to maximize efficiency.
- Keep the parts truck clean and neat, and have suggested vehicle service maintenance performed on the truck.
- Report any malfunctions of the vehicle's parts to the Parts Manager immediately.
- Assist in keeping the parts department and parts area clean.
- Follow department policy for pick up and deliveries.
- Keeps new and used vehicle lots neat and organized as directed by management.
- Drives vehicles to different areas of the dealership as directed by management.
EDUCATION
- High School diploma or GED EXPERIENCE
- Previous professional driving experience preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- The Parts Driver must be able to move throughout the parts department all day, reaching, climbing and lifting parts from inventory.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk eight hours a day.
- Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds, climb at least two flights of stairs, kneel, bend and reach above the shoulders.
- The Parts Driver will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust, and paint fumes and will be required to work in extreme heat and/or cold and rain.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid drivers license with a company acceptable driving record.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
- Ability to use a computer and calculator.
- Ability to communicate well orally and in writing with customers, vendors and other contacts.
- Must maintain a professional appearance.
