What are the responsibilities and job description for the MINISTRY SYSTEMS SPECIALIST position at Liberty Live Church?
Purpose: Provide administrative support to ministries, improving communication, and ensuring consistency across all campuses.
Ministry Department: Ministry Systems
Position Reports To: Ministry Systems Pastor
Hours: Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am through 4:30pm, with 6 weekend hours worked remotely. Attendance of a Sunday worship service is required, as well as other events as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00am through 4:30pm, with 6 weekend remote hours.
- Ministry Systems Specialists will not be expected to be at ministry events and should not be recruited to help or attend unless the Specialist initiates interest.
- Field all phone calls to church for assigned ministries.
- Receive all website inquiries for respective ministries.
- Act as notary for ministries as needed.
- Attend central ministry meetings.
- Coordinate central services for assigned ministries.
- Ensure that data for respective ministries is kept up to date (attendance, rosters/rolls, etc.)
- Make central purchases and distribution (not campus-specific purchasing) for events as requested by Ministry Leader.
- Provide appropriate training for central ministries in assigned software.
- Handle all Life Team application/background check processes for respective ministries.
- Take part in continual learning to stay up to date on best software practices.
- Proactively update respective ministries on important data related to Ministry Platform, budget, creative job forms, and other information.
- Assist with large event blue cards/red cards processes at Hampton.
- Become adept users of Office 365 as well as Liberty’s current accounting, project management, communication, scheduling, and database software to best serve ministry teams.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrate the ability to manipulate Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher
- Must have excellent editing skills
- Ability to communicate in a concise and effective manner
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Ability to handle moderate stress
- One (1) year of clerical experience
Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The job will primarily be carried in an office setting and require sitting, standing, as well as bending, and carrying some moderately heavy items.
