Controls Engineer

Controls Design Engineer with hands-on knowledge of Industrial Systems Integration. Work experience and knowledge of PLC and HMI applications to design and debug programs for Industrial Automation projects. Machine Controls, Process Controls, Electrical Design, Process Design & Engineering, PC Hardware & Software, etc. Competent skills with networking, device communications, integration, and design. Ideally knowledge of 2 PLC and 2 HMI platforms. Preferred key attributes include Allen-Bradley experience (PLCs/FactoryTalk View), GE/Emerson experience (PLCs, iFix, Cimplicity HMI), Aveva experience (Wonderware, Indusoft/Aveva Edge). Familiarity with Ethernet communications. Hands-on troubleshooting skills.The ability to design & create drawings of Control Systems & Industrial Automation. 2D, 3D, AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, Electrical Design & Electrical Drawings. Process system design to optimize controls & machine performance. Experience designing & supporting integrated machine control systems. An understanding of ladder-logic programming. The ability to manage specifications, design changes, quality, and cost throughout the development process. The ability to transition between projects. Analytical and hands-on problem solving, mechanical aptitude skills. Familiarity PLC, Machine Controls & Panels, Machine Vision, Robotics & Motion Control, Barcode, Integration & Controls, Servos, etc. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows, MS Office, MS Project.Key words – Controls Engineer, Industrial Automation, System Integration, Engineering, PLC Controls, Rockwell Automation Allen Bradley PLC’s, RSLogix 5000/500/5, Studio, PLC’s/Factory Talk View, etc. PLC’s, HMI’s. Skills considered a plus. GE/Emerson (PLC’s, iFix, Cimplicity, HMI) Aveva (Wonderware, Indusoft/Aveva/Edge) PanelView Plus, etc. SCADA and HMI packages (Intellution, and Wonderware). Siemens S7 PLC Systems.This position requires a B.S. Engineering Degree, Master’s Degree is a plus.
