JOB SUMMARY
This position is for a HIM Medical Records Analyst who is responsible for communication with the Providers at Liberty Regional Medical Center and all its entities and/or the Director of HIM. The position also requires necessary administrative functions which include but are not limited to performing the day to day workflow that encompasses vigilantly analyzing the patient health records to identify misfiled documents and making certain that all documentation is scanned in the appropriate medical record. This position will also perform duties that include but not limited to identifying deficiencies, data validation, performing various administrative functions to maintain coverage of the department, and the reporting of Vital Route requests to the appropriate personnel/providers for completion. Confidentiality must be maintained at all times while communicating with medical staff, organization staff, patients, visitors, other departments and outside agencies. This position may include vital statistics reporting as well as updating logs and other reporting requirements. The position reports to the Director of Health Information Management/Privacy Officer.
Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum level of Education: Equivalent to completion of two years of college with an associates degree, and or work experience preferred.
- Formal Training: Skills with experience in planning, organizing, implementing, verbal and written communications preferred. Knowledge of and training in medical record assembling and analysis preferred.
- Licensure, Certifications & Registration: CCA, RHIT, RHIA, preferred.
- Work Experience: Basic typing and computer skills with previous experience in hospital setting Health Information Management preferred.
