What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dietary Aide position at Liberty Retirement Community of Lima?
Primary Accountability & Duty:
The Food Service Worker is accountable to the Dietary Director, Supervisor, and Cook.
Performs designated food preparation, keeps equipment and utensils washed and cleaned, helps with the service of the food, plus any additional task related to the complete kitchen operation.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to read, understand and follow written and oral instructions. Be willing to perform repetitive tasks. Exercise initiative in maintaining department in a clean and orderly condition. Must have the ability to work with others to perform various assigned tasks and be able to work well under supervision.
- Standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, moving equipment and performing other related tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Performs food preparation.
- Operates dishwashing equipment.
- Assists in the dishing-up, serving, and delivery of food.
- Set-up, breakdown & Cleaning of the dining room for meal service.
- Scraping, racking, washing, and un-racking of dishes after meal service.
- May prepare and deliver nourishments to patients.
- Cleaning activities including but not limited to washing pots, pans, and utensils.
- Performs all other tasks assigned by supervisor.
