Job Summary
The Operations Division Support role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations tasks and duties, streamlining processes and procedures for maximum efficiency, and facilitating franchisee-related transactions.
Liberty Tax's field-support function falls within our Operations lifecycle-based model that pairs every store and franchise owner with the right blend of people, playbooks, and technology. The divisions below work closely together and share common tools and resources. As an Operations Support Specialist, you'll sit in one division, but you'll regularly collaborate with-and may later rotate through others.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operations-oriented role within the franchise industry or comparable multi-unit retail industry experience.

- New Owners (0-5 Years): Guides brand-new franchisees through their first five seasons-budget coaching, marketing jump-starts, and "early-wins" playbooks that reduce risk and accelerate success.
- Owner Retention: Proactively shepherds experienced owners through the 12-month renewal cycle with data-driven outreach, mid-season pulse checks, and tailored action plans that maintain high engagement and low turnover.
- Active Stores: Delivers fast, scalable help to established stores via a self-service-first support hub backed by regional live-support teams for complex issues-keeping operations smooth and profitable.
- Support Day-to-Day Operations: Aid in the management of daily operational tasks to ensure smooth functioning of field activities.
- Ensure Efficient Operations and Compliance: Deliver comprehensive support to the operations team and franchisees by effectively managing and executing all operational tasks, ensuring they are rolled out efficiently and in strict adherence to compliance processes and company policies.
- Optimize Processes: Contribute to the enhancement of operational processes and procedures to improve efficiency while maintaining quality standards.
- Facilitate Transactions: Assist in the coordination of franchise-related transactions.
- Maintain Communication: Foster ongoing communication and support for team members and franchisees to promote their development.
- Monitor Workflows: Help track and manage operational workflows.
- Mapping Support: Assist the operations team in verifying franchise owners' locations and territories. Monitor & update various territory transaction workflows.
- Assist the broader team with various tasks as required to ensure smooth operations and the overall success of franchisee operations.
- Effective Communication: Communicate effectively with franchisees and members within Operations or outside of Operations across various backgrounds and personalities.
- Self-Motivated and Detail-Oriented: Exhibit self-motivation, attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and adaptability to change.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Project Organization: Assist in initiating, planning, prioritizing, and organizing multiple projects while ensuring deadlines are met.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams, Outlooks, OneDrive and DocuSign.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in an operations-oriented role within the franchise industry or comparable multi-unit retail industry experience.
Physical Requirements
- Position requires working at a desk at the corporate office for periods of time up to eight hours.
- Travel up to 10%
