Position Purpose

The Tax Preparer conducts an in-depth interview with the client to obtain all the required information and material to complete the tax return, check for errors, explain results to the client and recommend ancillary services (such as bookkeeping and payroll) when appropriate.

Position Responsibilities / Duties / Functions / Tasks

• Establish rapport with clients to build working relationships, encourage referrals and increase retention year to year
• Provide friendly customer service and helps foster a team environment where co-workers are supportive of each other
• Prepare complete and accurate tax returns to help clients everything they are entitled to get
• Fulfills ongoing training and testing requirements, as required, included paid pre-season training opportunities
• Implements client-oriented product initiatives, earning incentive payments for outstanding performance
• Ensures office is clean, organized, and in compliance
• Other duties as assigned
