Position Summary*
The role of the Events Manager is to build and grow our Event department and team; to increase event presence within major markets in Texas including Austin, San Antonio, College Park, & Houston. Ideally based in Austin or San Antonio with the expectation of necessary travel throughout cities. The Events Manager is responsible for satisfying the requests of our customers and their guests, managing and improving event logistics from start to finish, expanding Lick's event presence, and securing long lasting relationships with viable clients while upholding the standards of the business. Organization, communication, flexibility & coordination will be critical to this position. This position will also oversee & coordinate the fleet of event vehicles, including our food truck and multiple ice cream carts. Events for Lick can range from product drop-offs, weddings, professional in-person events, large-scale marketing events, and food festivals throughout the state.

Minimum Expectations*
- Fully support the founder's mission and integrity of the Lick Honest brand.
- Fully engage in day-to-day operations within the department.
- Take the initiative to drive Event sales with new client partnerships by performing outreach to businesses, catering companies, colleges, etc.
- Maintain the highest sanitary and cleanliness levels in a professional setting before, during & after events.
- Be accountable for all actions, decisions made, or direction given. Maintain Events, personal, and city specific calendars and rolling meeting notes for the Events department to ensure details are kept track of.
- Treat this position as a priority and communicate that professionally to Lick Directors and management – communication is key!
- Strive to build an events team from shop current staff in Houston, Austin, & San Antonio
- Work off-site events as needed when no staffing is secured.
- Adhere to brand standards within communication with customers, clients, and fellow team members.
- Be flexible with scheduling and be able to work autonomously with clear goals and timelines.
- Surface concerns or frustrations immediately and directly to Director(s) and collaborate to creatively solve any issues.
- Maintain organization across all business spaces. Including office, electronic, and events location spaces.
- Creatively take the initiative to benefit the company.
- Assume positive intent when interacting with the team and clientele.

Duties and Responsibilities*
- Manage all aspects of Lick Events (catering, donation based & beyond), including but not limited to: responding to booking inquiries in a timely and friendly manner; assessing potential event profitability and providing thoughtful recommendation; creating proposals, event materials and other required booking & execution documents; clearly and respectfully communicate with clients regularly; coordinating event staff; being the main point of contact for all events and for any emergencies that may arise on and around the event day; and ensuring the overall success of the execution of any event, the event's follow up and reconciliation.
- Effectively manage and maintain event calendars and communicate event details with Lick leadership & corresponding departments. Maintain organization, cleanliness, storage, maintenance, and stock levels for all events including truck supplies, props, and decor. Be able to purchase more as needed autonomously within brand standards and department budgets.
- Oversee the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of event vehicles, push carts, event equipment, and event supplies.
- Work closely with Directors and management to ensure smooth operations and alignment between teams.
- Ensure that Event teams are kept in the know and are fully prepared.
- Hire, train, build, and maintain an event team; ensuring that all event staff have a full understanding of the Lick brand, mission, product, and the job expectations.
- Motivate and lead staff by example; provide staff with detailed event kits and expectations of service; and ensure Food Handler's Permits are up to date and properly filed.
- Continuously cultivate new relationships with viable clients, venues, and vendors including wedding planners, corporate event coordinators, philanthropic organizations, schools, community members, influencers, press, and business leaders to leverage for future events.
- Maintain current relationships and creatively grow partnerships.
- Research, develop, propose, and follow through with strategies to procure new business or event bookings and drive results, including but not limited to direct outreach, collaborations with other Lick departments, new items or offerings, discounts, and promotions.
- Investigate trends, competitor product offerings and prices, develop inventive ideas, make recommendations, and follow through with ideas to remain competitive, abreast, or ahead of local and national event market.
- Oversee and aim to grow event revenue by preparing and maintaining quarterly and per-event budgets, sales projections, and goals.
- Essential Functions*

- Drive all necessary company vehicles including but not limited to a diesel food truck and all delivery vans

- Monitor and control resources, including but not limited to collecting new client paperwork, managing budget, managing inventories
- Communicate effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audience
- Lift 50# of product
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
