Description
PERSONAL CARE AIDE - FT 40 HOURS
Job Summary : Responsible for providing personal care needs and homemaking needs to our clients.
Essential Duties :
Demonstrate effective communication strategies and skills in order to respond to the needs, desires, and interests of all clients.
Exihibit care, compassion, and patience at all times.
Daily documentation and data entry to maintain client records / attendance / occurrences.
Assist clients with meal preparation, use of commode or bedpan, changing linens and incidental household duties essential to client's health needs and companionship.
Assist client in following physician's orders regarding medication, exercises, and prescribed procedures.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements :
Minimum 1 year of caregiving and / or home health experience.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
Personal & Professional Attributes : Must be neat, clean and well spoken. Must demonstrate sensitivity, empathy, and understanding of the needs of older, impoverished, and developmentally disabled individuals;
display common sense and good judgment, and actively promote LCAP to the public. Uphold the highest level of confidentiality, honesty, and integrity, and represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
