Job Description
Reports To: Manager, Operations Division
Job Summary:
Performs the job functions of inspections/repairs to client’s facilities in accordance with local and national codes for fire and life safety
Responsibilities:
- Participate in inspections as assigned by management to include, but not limited to: Egress Signs, Lighting, Fire Extinguishers; Smoke/Fire Dampers/Walls/Doors, Trash and Linen Chutes and Electrical Receptacles.
- Complete and document all aspects of the inspection/repair process.
- Perform required repairs as appropriate for non-compliance items.
- Ability to repeatedly climb a ladder, lift 50 Lbs., use basic hand tools, walk long distances and push/maneuver a 200 Lb. mobile tool cart.
- Responsible for overall knowledge of training guides, employee handbook, as well as subsequent changes/additions.
- Flexible to work various geographic locations and times based on business needs.
- Become familiar with local, state and national codes, such as; (NFPA) The Joint Commission, CMS, etc., as they apply to these job requirements.
- Successful completions required by the end of the first year of employment To include installation, training and certification in the areas of Fire Damper, Fire Stop, and Fire Extinguisher products.
- Must adhere to confidentiality requirements of LSE and its clients. Treat all patients, staff and visitors in any facility in a courteous, respectful and helpful manner. The health, safety and privacy of these individuals are to be of paramount importance.
- Conduct oneself with a high level of professionalism and attention to details; along with appearance and hygiene standards in accordance with the LSE Handbook.
- Work in an efficient and safe manner per OSHA and LSE safety guidelines; must keep job site in good housekeeping condition.
- Complete DSR’s, timesheets, expense reports, etc., in a timely manner based on assigned due dates.
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Basic Computer Skills
Strong Oral and Written Communication Skills
Preferred Experience:
Prefer experience in general trades, or FSI Certification; but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
