Non-Emergency Ambulance Company seeking a full-time Dispatcher.
Job duties include
Setting up transfers, dispatching ambulances
Relaying patient reports, entering data
Non-emergency phone requests for ambulance assistance
Oversee medic locations
Ensure timely and efficient movement of calls according to schedule.
Follow up with patient cancellations
Confirm calls two hours prior
Be sure medics check off units
Inform medics of specialized equipment requested upon by patients or guardians.
Confirm addresses.
Dispatch medics to proper locations.
Qualifications
- First aid certification
- Strong analysis skills
- Experience in dispatching emergency services
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in typing accurately and quickly
- EMT experience or relevant medical training
- Ability to handle phone triage effectively
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Skilled in transcription and data entry
- Ability to negotiate and manage conflicts
- Comfortable using multi-line phone systems
- Understanding of security protocols and procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $10.00 - $13.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
